Managing Change at the United Nations

"In September 2005, after intensive debates between Member States, the largest group of world leaders ever assembled approved the principles contained in the 2005 World Summit Outcome Document. The chapters in this publication cover some of the reform proposals that can be found in Section V of the Outcome Document under the heading “Strengthening the United Nations.” These include: reform of the Security Council, revitalization of the General Assembly, achieving System-wide Coherence, Secretariat and Management reform, and the establishment of the Human Rights Council."

Estelle Perry, President of the Center for UN Reform Education
